Saint‑Jean‑Pied‑de‑Port is the main starting point of the Camino Francés and has one of the widest ranges of pilgrim accommodation on the route. Most albergues, guesthouses, and small hotels sit around the old town and the pilgrim office, making it an easy place to organise your first night before beginning the climb toward the Pyrenees.
